So the final step on our remodeling official started today. The carpet came off the rest of the stairs and I can't WAIT to get this project finished. We have had half carpeted stairs for over a year and it just stresses me out. Not only does it look horrific, but I'm just embarrassed to have any one over. We originally had it measured to put new carpet on them, but that turned out to be WAY to much cost wise. On top of the actual carpet cost, the padding and instillation they wanted to charge and additional $285 for the "complicated installation." So for just that we could purchase the stair noses and most of the flooring. We decided to go at it our selves. We shall see how that turns out.
